I am purchasing a 2012 xkr and I only have pictures from the dealer. It appears that the passenger dash may be a bit wrinkled. Is this an issue with a 2012 xkr and how is it repaired? It may be shadows, but looks wrinkled. It has 54k miles.

Leather pulling on dash is an issue in hotter climates, but I have to say that looks like a possible poor attempt at a dash that has been recovered. hard to tell in pics...
I'm with TT. That looks like a bad repair / recover. The Jaguar dashes are nearly flawless. Your seams are way crooked, the stitching is poor, the edges don't align and your original complaint, the leather is WAY super warpy and horrendous.
I'd not buy that car based on the dash alone. Evidently someone never cared for it properly. What ELSE was done poorly/not at all?
My leather 07 XKR leather dash retracted in the FL sun. I elected to recover the dash. The guy that did the job make it look like yours, like an ill fitting suit. I had the job redone elsewhere. I suspect your dash was recovered. Fixing it will not be cheap. A new dash from Jaguar is in the $10K range (yikes). A recover about 5K. Oh and that plastic defroster panel near the wind shield is not in the Jaguar parts bin unless you buy the entire dash. It wears poorly and gets brittle.
Your call as how you'd like to go forward if at all. Good luck.
Thank you for the responses. I pulled out of the deal. The dealer ghosted me all day when I asked for pics of passenger dash. Although bummed, I want the best Jag for my money. I've saved $26,000 and want a nice Black, XKR coupe. 2010, or newer. I'm hoping some will show up on the market soon after this Covid.

Good for you! Always go into a deal with no emotional ties to the car, knowing you can always back out (the buyer is always king in a car deal). You will find the car you want and enjoy it more when you find the right one. You don't want to get stuck with a car you're not happy with.
Bravo and great choice. The interiors, while not glamorous and exciting, are done to exacting standards and everything looks proper and done with grand craftsmanship.
The edges even and smooth, gaps and lines straight and parallel, stitches even and exacting. You can tell a good job just by looking.
