Default 2013 XK

Hello
I have a 2013 XK convertible. It only had 1 key so I went to a shop that had a guy come in and program an additional key for the car.
When I got home the rear quarter window would not come up when top was closed. Do you think the programming had anything to do with it?
Don't really want to go back to the shop because I don't think they know much about Jaguar's.
Thanks

Welcome to the forums jwnay,

I've moved your question from Jaguar Forums Feedback & Suggestion Centre to XK/XKR forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Yeah, probably nothing to do with the key. More likely the programmer didn't have enough power to run the SDD while programming the car, hence Low Battery.

Easiest and cheapest, disconnect the car battery, CHARGE IT using a GOOD battery charger (not a maintainer) of at least 10 amps for many hours. Also, while disconnected, touch the POS and NEG battery cables together for a couple seconds to drain all the volatile memory.

Once that is done and hooked back up, reprogram the front windows by holding the window button UP and hold it for at least three seconds past Full Up. Then do DOWN the same way. Then, UP again.
THEN, lower the top completely and raise it again.
That should do it.
If it DOESN'T rectify, Steve will be around shortly and he'll tell you to do a Manual Top Reset as per the Manual.
