I just got that email too. I would be interested to see what it ends up at. I think Jaguar values are stabilizing relative to depreciation a little better than they were but halo models like that are hard to price. We just had a 2004 XJR with 106k on it traded in for $7k. I felt that was too much considering while it sat overnight the RR air spring leaked and the Parking brake motor was ratcheting. I hadn't even looked it over. Wholesaler picked it up fast!

I want to see good numbers from this XKRS-GT!

What type of auction is this? Looks like a dealer tying to get a reserved price on the lot. Is this auction similar to Manheim auctions? I didn't see any VIN on the description. I know of a flood titled 2012 MP-4 which now has a clean title going around. I don't trust auctions that don't fully disclose. However, the XKR-S GT look like a dealer trying to sell at a reserve. Let us now what the final bid is on both the McLaren and XKR-S GT. Interesting.

It's a public auction that specializes usually on muscle cars and vettes but has almost everything at one time or another coming up for sale. I love watching Mecum on TV as most of the shows are repeats.

Both the Jag and McLaren hit a fair price. No give away.

I'm not a big fan of old cars but old cars in original perfect condition with low miles are pieces of unspooled art.

These Mecum Auto Auctions attract both premium buyers as well as sellers. If you have some time, be sure watch just one or two of the Mecum Auctions on NBCSN. They are great and you get to achieve an understanding on how these premium auctions are held.

Keep in mind, in addition to the $145,000 for the 2014 Jaguar XKR-S GT, the buyer pays a 6% buyers premium and the seller pays Mecum 6% of the sales price to attract buyers and sell their cars.

Mecum is top notch and 100% trustworthy. The auctions are so much fun to watch.

Nope , none of them. It was a Black on black on black convertible. It was a total restoration by some Corvette specialty guy in Ca. It was one of 18 made. Thanks
