Default 2014 XKR

The rubber on the steering wheel around the phone and radio controls has become very sticky. Any ideas how to fix that? Jaguar says it's a common problem on the XK but won't tell me the remedy.
They want a lot of money for their secret fix.

There are myriad fixes posted in these forums, from hand lotion to chemicals.
Search for STICKY BUTTONS
