Buy one. Put it in permanent storage. Never drive it. Bequeath it to one of your kids. In 50 years it might be worth something?

Does anyone know what will be replacing for the XK? I heard from an unreliable source that it's a version of the current XJ but in a two door model.

And that would be... A ZERO!... Who the heck wants a 2 door XJ... The XJ looks like M from James Bond should be driven around in it... OH WAIT...SHE WAS!!!!!!

The ultimate XK will still be the R-S GT. At least the Final Fifty will have the Dynamic Pack, so they're not just cosmetic 'limited edition' cars.

What would motivate Jaguar to stop producing the XK which has been their flagship sports car forever?

Same reason they dropped the XJ-S and the XK8 - time for a refresh. The only difference is that they don't immediately have a replacement model, but I guess they think the F-Type will fill much of the gap.

I am living in the moment. i have an XKR in salsa red (vert) and love it. focusing on what i have now not in the future.

20k miles on it now and more than likely I will keep my 2007 for another 2 years (4 years of total ownership) I drive it 4-6k a year. before i am concerned on what cars are even on the market. Fall 2016 is when I will start to look for a replacement and who knows maybe i will keep it.

2016 is when I will be looking to either replace the XK or buy an additional car and keep the XK.

my sports car is all about budget for me

If I am making the same money/similar lifestyle (single, no kids, same line of work) in 2016 I will look to purchase based on budget which is about $75k for me (keep my current bmw for a daily, I have 2 cars, live in an urban area and only 4 miles to work so I dont drive much)

2001 to 2003 360 modena ferrari
Maserati MC vert
2009 porsche 911 turbo
2009 DBS will still be over $100k i bet 2 yrs.....
XKR-S vert in blue

again living in the moment, loving my car, no issues, cheap to keep around on it. things are good - why screw up something good!
