well, I’m not sure. Subframes are different most likely.
And you’ll be lucky to find an f-type diff for less then quaife

ah, I’m in the search of a Mustang or Lincoln LS LSD that would bolt in.

S-Type R is 2.87:1

F-Type V6S, and XK is 3.31:1

You can't put a 3.31:1 in an S-Type R the difference in ratio is too great, will throw up codes and limp mode.

There's no Ford diff with LSD that's a straight swap.

Your choices for the STR are Quaife or mini-spool, or CIG-Locker

The actual LSD part does not involve gear swapping which I already know the transmission will throw a fit if it gets messed with.

But there is no Ford LSD that fits inside the 8" diff housing. We tried them all.

You do realise I'm running a lincoln 3.58 diff in my xk

Yet to take it back down the track but the difference is very very noticeable

25k miles, no issues whatsoever

And I kick the butt every time I drive it. Powersliding every corner. Doughnuts every now and then.

Correct. No adjustments whatsoever, Rula. The only caveat is one needs to unbolt the rear reinforcement cross brace front bolts in order to be able to slide the F-Type unit into place. And those bolts are attached to hidden hard to reach studs that tend to fail. There is a thread somewhere on the alu XJ X350 forum on how to deal with that matter.
I’ve since sold the car with some 120+ thousand km on the clock and the F-Type diff was going strong and with no issues.

Correct, the engeneering number is clearly visible on one of the diff pics I’ve posted, and I suggest that you pay attention to that, the part number they advertise on Ebay T2R4000 may misrepresent an 340hp open diff for an LSD
