ABS, DSC & Cruise Control Errors - Help!
Of course a fault could have many causes, but always best to begin with the most common, easiest, likely, etc. I reckon the OP doesn’t visit here often but to save him time and money, I still think a quick visit with a parts store which usually have electrical test equipment would be a good idea before enlisting the assistance of a specialist. That’s why we’re here, right, to help others?
Just came back from my local Jaguar Specialist. It was not the battery, not the ABS, not the alternator and not a bad ground. It was a faulty speed sensor in my right rear wheel that was causing all the errors.

First, glad to hear it was resolved. Second, thank you for the follow up. Most of the time it’s a voltage issue somewhere but this it was indeed a faulty component so for future reference it’s great
to have this useful information.

Hi,
I got several similar codes all at the exact same time - ABS Fault, DSC Unavailable, Gear Box Fault, and Cruise Control Unavailable.
He said that a normal charge was 12.6-12.8 volts but mine was at 12.3 volts. It's a nine year old battery. Is that enough of a decline to be the culprit for the fault lights?
Also, what is the generally accepted best battery brand for a 2006 XJ VDP?
Thanks so much,
Mark H.

When you get a new battery, make sure it is Freshly charged, as batteries sit for ages in parts warehouses and store rooms.
Any battery will be fine, as long as it's not a 'discount' brand as most batteries quality come from the exact same manufacturer anyway.

At 12.3 volts and 9 years old, your battery needs to be be replaced. You're in the X150 Forum, for 2007 - 2015 XK/XKR models . You should ask for advice in the Jaguar X350 Forum Forum, which is for your 2006 XJ
Costco sells Interstate Batteries at low prices if you want to save $$ and do it yourself.

Sometimes, if I’ve done a bunch of just short trips, I’ll get a number of messages come up (ABS, DSC, self levelling lights etc). I just go for a normal trip and next time I start all messages have cleared. Plug in the reader and no fault codes.
A perfect record of a battery which is below full charge. To leave it like this is risking reliable starting and performance as well as the operation of the multiple electronic module. But to leave it as it is would be an excellent way of reinforcing the myth that Jaguars are unreliable. Please charge the battery or replace it if it is older than 4-5 years.
