Default Abs module/dsc/cruise error

Hi, as per the title of the thread I've had these errors come up in the last couple of days, also had a random CATS error that only came up once.

Am I right in thinking that it could be a battery issue? Ive just done a 1000 mile weekend trip and the car ran perfectly, it was only a couple of days later the lights have started coming up.

I have done a hard reset with the battery cables but they still come up. the battery voltage this morning was around 12.3v, i have an icarsoft scanner but its with a mate at the min and I won't get it back for a couple of weeks.

I'm thinking it won't do any harm to replace the battery anyway as a start?

Regards Dave.

Your battery voltage should be 12.6 minimum. If the battery has been in service 5 years or more since installation, it is likely due for replacement. And yes, the errors showing can be caused by low battery voltage.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll replace the battery tomorrow. When cranking the voltage does go below 10v. Might be a coincidence but the "beep' has recently stopped working when double locking.

A ‘sounder’ going bad can be a battery drainer.

Well the sounder started to work before i stuck a new battery on! I then cleared all the faults and it looks as though I need a new rear abs sensor, all the other lights came back on after a mile test drive.. at least it's a quite cheap fix, the icarsoft scanner has paid for itself already so they are a good investment.
