ACM USB list
Hi all!
In my '07 xkr I have Audio connectivity module (ACM) installed. 8 gb usb works fine, controls on steering wheel work fine, BUT, is there ANY way possible (by some update, anything,..) to actually SEE the songs I play on the screen? Has somebody done that? Because, although working, this is very rudimentary way for listening to music..

I managed to get them to display on my car but I had to upgrade to a 5 litre to do it
My '07 wouldn't display them either but I have a feeling that the '08's onwards had the ACM fitted as standard and the song tracks display on those. Someone else should be able to confirm.

I can confirm on my 2015 the track names do display from a USB stick
So it looks like to enjoy that feature you'll need to upgrade to a 5.0 L_E
I can heartily recommend the supercharged version, as a higher noble you funds should stretch to it....although in truth I wasn't aware of any Croatians that held the title?

As for my title, unfortunately, just a nickname from childhood PC gaming 😁
What you can do is create mp3 file "voice tags" and put them as the first track of each folder.
I did this for the ACM in the old X-Type & XJR, which doesn't give you any displayed information.
So as you skip through each folder, it reads out the name.
It's been a while & i don't remember which website I used, but a quick test on this one https://ttsmp3.com/ it seems to be pretty good.
I do remember that sometimes you have to alter the spelling or spell words phonetically in order for it to be read out correctly.

I was really hoping there is some software upgrade to do exactly that. And sure it must be, some kind od OEM firmware, as it is almost the same hardware.
