All buttons on the steering wheel no longer work
Jaguar XK X150 2006
All buttons on the steering wheel no longer work. Also the gear paddles. It started with the cruise control buttons and expanded to all buttons. Also the lighting of the buttons does not go on anymore. I have already looked at the wiring, but it appears to be optically correct.
Does anyone know where to look?

My guess is a broken clock spring.
The clock spring is a device that contains a wound up wire (ribbon cable) inside and allows the airbag, horn and steering wheel buttons to stay connected as the steering wheel is rotated to make left and right turns.
