So when I set out to buy my XKR a large part was because my daughter had a blast in it when I drove one. There aren't a ton of exciting convertible options that fit car seats but I did have decent luck with my car seats although it pushed the passenger seat far forward. So after too much internet research I stumbled upon this rather unique car seat option on a 911 forum. It is the Ride safer child harness which is designed and tested for kids 3 and up and comes in different sizes. It works more or less as a seat belt positioning device and does not need to be used in coordination with a booster but I chose to do so in order to give her a bit better view out of the car. I wouldn't use it as an only car and child seat option, but for the usual sunny topdown cruising it's awesome. It is a little bit of work to get her strapped into the harness and then into the seat but the benefit is tons more legroom for the passenger (or probably even driver in front). I hadn't seen it posted many places so I figured I would put it here! This post is worthless without pics so I included my daughter and my wife in front showing how much room she still has at 5'7".
Thanks for sharing - I currently have my 2-year old setup in a forward facing seat, just got the smallest one at my local store and it fits pretty good; but it does impede on front passenger legroom. That's OK with my wife who is 5'2" and the primary passenger, but if I want to use the Jag to go out with anyone else who's taller I have to remove the child seat. Might look into the setup you have come Spring.
i dont post links, the stuff I buy is UK, most people here are US...different prices, lead times, shipping etc.
The name of the product or a pic with the name should be enough with Google one would hope
