Ive never been a fan of the standard plastic paddle shifters they feel super cheap and definitely do not belong on a Jaguar
I found a place on ebay they have Aluminium paddle shifters for Jaguar and ranger rover they come in 3 colurs including charcoal, black and aluminium (silver)
I went the Aluminium (silver) as I thought it would compliment the interior and would have that oem look to them , I can proudly say I couldn't be more than happy with them the quality is surprisely high I was totally shock

Was it a simple install? I may try on a set.

 

Very easy no more than 10 min , no need to even take the existing paddles off just make sure you rotate the steering wheel so you get obtain better access
Give them a go highly recommend the silver it compliments the jaguar interior perfectly

If any have interest in the silver paddles, I will part with the set I bought and took back off....
Still have not cleaned all the Gorilla tape off the back sides (Great two sided tape, but what a pain to remove) but otherwise new...
