Default Another R Academy question

I've decided to do the R Academy this year but I'm undecided on the location. Assuming Jaguar provides the same instructors and cars for each location, which track is preferrable, Miami or Las Vegas? Has anybody here done both tracks? FYI, I'm a newbie to the track world and this will be my first time.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

I have not driven either track, but I have been to races at both. Both tracks are Rovals (road coarse+oval)-they use the infield road coarse + part of the oval, similar to 24 hrs of Daytona. I don't think it will make a difference for you given it's only a 1 day coarse and you haven't had a lot of racing experience. Homestead is a little bit of a hike from South beach, whereas Vegas speedway is closer to the strip. I thing Vegas is more fun, especially if u r only going for a couple of days (Miami is really fun too!). Vegas r academy is based out of the trump hotel, which is first class. If I were having trouble deciding which one to attend, I would pick the closest one to my house-I'm going to vegas

If that were the case, I'd go to the event in CT. But when I looked at that track on Google Earth, it paled in comparison with the ones in Miami and Las Vegas.

Thanks for your input.

Me too! My wife and I made the decision last night and confirmed with the Jaguar concierge today.

I haven't attend the R Academy yet and really want to go to the Vegas location but the week it's being offered is my nephew's wedding. If I go, I'll have to try for a Thursday or Friday class and then rush back for the wedding.

Since my car is a lease I'm feeling pressure to attend the academy this year since by this fall I'll only have another three years left on the lease.

If I miss out on the fall training I doubt they'll have another before 2013. Hmm. Guess I'd better start planning!!
