Antenna Cable Connector Issue
#2
One possible fix might be to cut away about 1/3 of the circumference of the crimp barrel tube for clear access, then use a 15 watt soldering iron to solder the center conductor and the braid on the original part. Use a third hand tool from Radio Shack to set up everything in place because you will have to work fast with a minimum of heat to avoid damage. Radio Shack also sells a very fine tin/lead/2% silver flux core solder that would work well here.
If the latch is damaged or no longer fits after soldering just mate the metal connectors and apply some heatshrink around the connector to retain the mated halves together.

OK, I did not realize that the pin was out of the shell. You may not need to cut the shell now.
I would definitely say solder the pin first and try to insert it. Once that is done, solder the braid to the outer shell. You can gather the braid into one or two 'tails' to make it easier to solder.
