Antenna Options
Stopped by a local installer this week to explore viable options for an antenna replacement. Like others have mentioned I do not like the look of the factory antenna and what it does to the lines of the car when up. The installer did not have any options that he would "reccomend"
Have any of you out there the same thoughts and made a change? Pics?

When my aerial was ripped out by vandellous scum for the second time, i replaced it with a blanking plate and bought an internal aerial. It sits well hidden in the dash below the windscreen and the only reason i know it's there is (a) because i put it there! and (b) there's a delightfully mysterious purple glow coming from beyond the screen vents!
It also doubles as a digital TV aerial so its a bonus.
It's almost flawless, other than the reception on a couple of channels fades in and out of perfect on long journeys, but not enough to disenchant old "square-eyes"!!!!
Radio reception is perfect! I bought a cheap one to test, but i'm told the higher-priced ones are even better. Of course there;s the option of Satellite aerials. We have no need for them yet over here in the UK!
Hope it helps.
Mitch.

I thought so, Fly,....
in my mind i figured they were "crappy" to you guys.... but remember, our whole country fits a dozen times into just ONE of your States, so they work perfectly here! hehe...
At least it brought you one step closer to a solution!
The Sat rad is definitely the way to go where you are.
Last time i was over there, a friend of mine had installed his, and could listen to MY favourite radio station from over here, which was surreal! We were listening to hard club music at 2 in the afternoon! LoL
He could also tap into his iTunes music and videos from his home pc! cool!
