Default Any adapters for the iPhone to have read out of our cars in real time.

Hi guys I Come from a fully tuned bmw 335i coupe where I had a Cobb access port v3 which hooked into the obd 2 and flashed the ecu etc but also read out certain parameters of my choosing. Oil temp , charge temp, rpm , etc.. since our cars are black out when it comes to gauges I was hoping there was a tool.

Probably only a wi-fi elm327

There are far better things but they have no use for an iPhone. See the thread about OBD2 tools...

I had a wi-fi ELM for quite a few years but bought one of these last year as the app that they also supply can be used to change the customisable features on quite a few models of cars:

https://caristaapp.com/

I then use DashCmd to get diagnostic codes and monitor OBD metrics on my XKR. It works by BlueTooth LE as well rather than wi-fi so is fine for an iPhone. I have used it with a 6 Plus and 8 Plus with no issues.

I paid around US $38 on special but I see that they are currently advertising it for $19.99!

I should clarify it doesn’t need to display on my iPhone . It can have its own screen etc .. I just like to see when the car reaches oil temp levels. Air temp etc.. rpm at idle ..
