I would like to hear from any XKRS owners who have spent some time in Trac DSC mode. I took a private drivers coarse at Spring Mountain Race Track in Nevada and the trac DSC doesn't seem to do anything. The car will spin just as easily with or without the Trac DSC engaged. I know that Trac DSC can only do so much. If you get stupid with the car it will spin no matter what. Has anyone had similar experience with Trac DSC?

 

hey Dave!! As you well know i likely Never will... For the rest of U I'm too content cleaning it with microfiber towels and plush oddities and occasionally hugging it!!! I must admit this now .

 

In trac dsc mode the traction control will intervene at a higher threshold as compared to dsc mode (default). Even in dsc mode you can spin out if you have enough momentum. Next time it's raining, play around with the 3 different modes (dsc, trac dsc, dsc off). You will notice the traction control kicking in while in trac dsc mode if there is enough slip angle, as compared to not at all when it's shut off.
