Default Anyone have the Mina Gallery RS Spoiler?

I'm considering getting this to replace the ugly factory rear spoiler on my 2010 XKR, but wanted to see some pics and hear some feedback from others on here who have it. Thanks.

I had one:

I removed it and am now selling it at a huge loss.

I replaced it with this OEM one for significantly more money:

For me there were enough differences to spend nearly $1K to get to this point.

Spoiler, or diffuser? Maybe jahummer got confused... I do like that diffuser/spats though. Those skirts are also OK.

He was asking about the spoiler. The first pic is with the Mina spoiler installed in 2011 or 12 and the second one is after I replaced it with the OEM one this past November.

Im about to order the Mina Gallery spoiler but want to make sure I dont make a mistake as your the 2nd person Ive seen not be happy with it. What really is the difference in that one and the OEM one? Im guessing quality and fitment? Just curious as I do like the price compared to the OEM. Thanks

The Mina spoiler is a lot less expensive, just make sure you pick a good body shop familiar with fiberglass prep and finish. Due to the stiffness of FRP it was also a bit difficult to install compared to the OEM one and the finished product is a little smaller which can be seen in my pics above. These details bothered me enough to finally spend the money to use the factory one. And to put some perspective on why it bothered me, I keep this car in near new condition meaning every part, trim or panel inside or outside that has had any wear, scratches, damage or fitment issues has been replaced on the car with brand new parts.

Thanks for the reply. I can definitely tell from the first pic that the spoiler doesn't form to it as well. I will be wrapping the spoiler anyway and not so much worried on fitment so the Mina gallery spoiler is probably best for me. Thanks!

It is genuine carbon fiber. It is the 2012-2015 3-piece XKR-S set from Jaguar.

I am surprised that mina hasn't addressed these quality and fitment issues. I was really hoping to just buy the pre-painted mina one and slap it on and be done, but it doesn't sound like it will be that easy. what a bummer, as it's a cheap way to go compared to buying the OE one and having it painted.

Don't get me wrong, it is functional, I had it on my car for 6 years but I felt it was worth going with OEM. Really depends on how picky you are and what you want to spend.

I added the Mina rear spoiler to my XJ. It was an easy DIY installation and fit perfectly. See my post #48: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-109490/page3/

Hi, I am still looking for the side spats to mate with my carbon fibre spoiler. Guess you paid a lot for the 3 piece set but any advice on sourcing the spats or copies? I have found some copies but awaiting some more pics as they look different?

The spats weren’t too expensive, the carbon was. Have you tried Jaguar? Mina should also have the FRP replicas cheap, the whole kit was only around $700 from Chris.

Jaguar is a **** when dealing with body parts; if you don't own the VIN to an R-S, then they will not sell you ANY R-S parts. I've tried.

i emailed a main dealer a long while ago and sure they were a stupid price here in the U.K. but I didn't say I did or didn't own an actual RS. I could try my local main dealer I guess to be sure then. Might be cheaper there in the US? I've been holding off waiting to see if could find a salvage RS but no luck. Looks like I might have to get the copies, I'm told they are the same but just don't look it when comparing them to yours!

Which parts were you looking for? I may be able to help you.
