Anyone know where to get a Tonneau Cover for a 2007 Jaguar XK?
Hi, I recently purchased a 2007 Jaguar XK convertible and it’s missing the tonneau cover and the top won’t go down because that part is missing I’m pretty sure. I’ve called many dealerships and tried looking online at multiple part sites and nothing. I placed an order on OEM Vehicle parts but they said it is on backorder. Any help? The part number is C2P5085 I believe.
thanks in advance
I think MAYBE you mean the Luggage Separator and not Tonneau Cover?
As Stuart shows, the Tonneau is the large, solid part in front of the boot lid. The Luggage Separator is the retractable floppy part inside the boot that must be in place before the top electronics allow for roof retraction.
I really can't see how you'd get yourself a car without the tonneau part.

I bought the car used at an auction. The official part is called Tonneau cover with the part number C2P5085. Here’s a pic. But yes I guess it could be called the luggage separator. When I try to put done the top a message appears saying “Luggage Cover out of Position” that’s when I did research saw I was missing that part. That’s the part I’ve been trying to find
You can bypass it with a couple of small pieces of metal held in the slots on the side. Doing so, you bypass the safety feature that cover provides. You'd have to ensure nothing in the trunk moved to cause damage to the top when you lowered it.

thanks! I don’t know how I didn’t find that myself. I will see if I have some small metal pieces to bypass it for now. Just ordered the luggage cover
I have the old luggage separator and getting the same error message, Luggage separator not in position. There is no info online on how to bypass, Would you mind being more specific on the process with the small pieces of metal on the sides, please? A new luggage separator is $700+. I would like to avoid that if possible

This person called it a retractable rear cargo shade.

Use the SEARCH function in this forum, try 'luggage separator' first.
There is a little metallic piece on the left rear corner (looking forward as always) at the hinge area. This trips a sensor on the rail at that position.

As Cee Jay said. Your cover is probably fine, just the metal insert in the left side is missing. Some have found theirs laying around in the boot/trunk and reinserted it back into place. Otherwise experiment with some steel nuts or washers stuck in there (don’t think aluminum would work).
@2007Jag Here's the thread that explains how that works. If you can't find the little metal piece, you can probably make something out of aluminum foil that'll work.

I don’t cram the trunk full or put anything sharp or dangerous in there, but lordie that divider is annoying.
May poke around for a nut or washer that fits, take that thing out and store it properly.

Hoping that one day you or your wife don''t have a lapse of memory, lower the top when something in the trunk has slid under the storage area, resulting in a soft top issue of some sort (mechanism or control)

Wifey no drivey the jag.
I’m not allowed to drive her Audi so fair play.
If I do take it out, I’ll put a placard with “put noting in here” in the trunk. 🤣
