Aston Martin V8 Vantage
I took the Jag to the health club yesterday and saw a AMV8V in the parking lot. Gotta say it looked pretty sweet. It must have been either a '10 or '11 as it has the flared side skirts and clear taillights. I believe the '09 and up has the new 4.7L. I wonder if I can take him....

LOL....would be nice just to talk to the guy...whoever he is...if he's not a jerk. First time I've seen this AM at the club.
This video compares the 4.2L XKR vs. the 4.7L AMV8V and eventhough the guy picked the AM at the end....he says," Jaguar definitely will walk it in accelleration." If the vid shows a the XKR took him in stock form....I should be fine with my additional mods. The 5.0L XKR should beat it easily.....probably the V12 Vantage is the better match with the 5.0L XKR. This year...AM came out with the V8 Vantage S which is 1/10th faster than the V8V.

I test drove both and decided to go with the Jaguar because it was a bit more practical and civilized. I really did not think it was $40K better! This might be because I was used to driving my XJ8 and the Aston was jostling me around quite a bit. I would often drive my friend's Nissan 350Z and was concerned that I would be stuck with a similarly harsh ride.
