Yeah the workshop manual is over the top on the process. There is no need to remove the instrument panel. You will want to remove the seat, then on side of the center console, the scuttle under the glove box and a few other pieces of trim that will become obvious. Once done, remove the Carpet tub out and you will see this on the footwell where it rises:
1. The workshop manual would have you remove the instrument cluster to get to the Amp.
2. Yes , passenger side seat removed. Carpet pulled back. Bottom 2 bolts removed.
3 The two Black arrows in the pic above shows 2 bolts. Thats my problem. I cant find or get to them ,
Yes Im 6.2 , 250 lbs and OLD. so what am I missing ? a midget or a 15 year old whos really flexible.
I dont do well in cramped spaces at my size and age.
JaHummer , yep the subwoofer is down there and if equipped the amp is bolted down right next to it.
Maybe this will help a little. It's a pic from Cambo (so the amp is on the left, instead of the correct side:-)). You can see one of the bolt holes at the top just right of the blower (I think). Sorry I can't find the pics of mine when I added premium to my base system:
I added premium but didn't take the pics of the plate. I pulled the glove box too because adding premium from base means adding a center speaker and I had to fish some wiring. I don't recall if that gave me better access to the top bolts or it was by feel. Thanks for flipping the pic Cee Jay
Thanks for the clarification. Not sure what the cluster on the opposite side of the car has to do with removing the amp on the floor...
Looks like Sean provided an excellent reference pic, perhaps if you're still stuck, post up a pic of yours for comparison?

Thanks all, Ill give it another shot. Actually Im pulling the amp out of a wrecked 2007 Coupe that the yard owner has finished with. They didnt know the amp and sub were down there. The dash is gone but the car is flat on the ground. Im gonna need to stand on my head to find these two bolts.
On on another note , Yard has a 2010 XKR coming in soon, anxious to see its condition.
With the dash, seat and carpet gone, should be quite easy. You can see the 4 screws exposed on the pic above even with the dash in place. If you can’t find them, something’s off
