Default battery size

My 2008 xk is in need of a new battery.
I have access (for free) to a one year old group 94 H7 agm battery, my car calls for a group93 T8 flooded. Saving a few$ makes me smile but driving to pick it up and finding out it doesn't fit would take the smile off of my face.
Has anyone installed a group 94 battery in an XK150? Does it fit?

Since you have a convertible, you may have a clearance issue with that extra inch of height. Do the old Oil Pickup Tube trick, put a glob of clay on the highest point of the battery and reattach the battery cover thing. Take it back off and check the compressed height of the clay. If more than an inch, it should work okay.

A quick glance and it looks do-able. Will measure in a day or so once I know the agm is somewhat new.
thanks CJ
