Was a tad impatient and pulled the battery out since the handbook said the reset procedure is relatively simple.
This video helped to learn how to remove the battery if anyone's interested:

Posting here for posterity. This is how I set it up in my 2011 XK

Bought

Ctek MUS 4.3
Ctek comfort indicator panel
Ctek comfort connect (8ft)

Took all of 15 minutes easy to cut through the trunk liked for the panel and seems very stable

Passenger side (us) in the spare wheel well

On the side of the roof hydraulic pump, TONS of space back there

Had to lift out the liner a bit to get it to fit under the carpet, but I got it back there

Attached to the positive side of the battery

Marc,
What model year is your X150 and is it an //R? That information is not in your Public Profile and you don't have a signature block. It matters as to how you can attach the CTEK ground lead and other things. You may want to add a signature.

Stuart I added the car to the original post, I THINK I have now created a signature. 2011 xk, everything welt together very easy and per other suggestions, I did not ground directly to the battery.
