I had AlexJag do mine. I immediately felt the increased power. My Jag is NA, no supercharger but the increased torque is undeniable. The only issue Ive encountered so far was the addition of an aftermarket exhaust made by Larini. Seems Ive lost a fair amount of low end torque. No fault of the tuner..

Ok thanks. How do I contact him, is he a forum member? I’m really interested in a tune that includes increased pops/ burbles like an F type. Wonder if he can do that... I wish we had over the counter plug and play tunes like those BMW guys 😂. They’re lucky.

I have to be honest with you. The tune by itself will NOT do that. I installed a 2k complete exhaust system from Larini, it does pop but nowhere near what a F type does stock.

Ok how do I get in contact with him? I want to find out if he or anyone else can create a specific tune with the sound that I’m looking for...

I don’t think any tune will produce the results that you are looking for. I may be wrong but I think the F type is designed with a less restrictive exhaust system. If you install a straight pipe exhaust that might give you the results you are looking for but at the price of loosing low end torque and insanely loud. Good luck.

Thanks for responding. From what I’ve heard it’s just an adjustment to the fuel remapping that gives the effect I’m looking for. I will pm AlexJag and who knows maybe someone else in the know will read this thread and also respond.

I used Viezu for my tune. Easy to install and remove. The pops and burbles are a function of the tune. Many of the early F type performance tunes removed this feature but now most tuners are able add or remove them according to your tastes. Your XKR should make these noises already. My R-S is extremely loud on the overrun with the exhaust valves open. Very similar to the F-Type R. The noises get louder the more aggressively you brake / downshift.

Thanks, I will definitely give them a try. My XKR is a 2013 and I’ve removed the center muffler/resonator and added an x pipe. I sometimes do get some quieter pops on the overrun if I let off the gas and slightly touch the pedal. I would like it to be a littler louder and more aggressive without changing the rear box as I do love the tone of the factory box. I was also thinking about adding 200 cell cats but if I can get more pops from a tune then I probably won’t need to add the cats.

If you do buy 200 cell CATS, I highly recommend Velocity AP. Love them, however they are NOT a direct bolt on. You will need to find a shop to weld them in and install the Oxygen sensor bungs. Make sure they install the O2 sensor bungs in the exact spot as the factory ones. They are way less restrictive and flow a heck alot better then facoty 600 cells do.

Just the addition of the 200 cell cats will deepen the tone and increase the sound that you currently have. The video doesn't do it justice
