Default Best wheel colour for a Black XKR

Hi all,
a couple of my Nevis alloys need a refurb due to curb rash. I'm thinking of a change from metallic aluminium and wanted to know what others have done or like. I'm thinking light graphite satin with the Supercharged type in gloss black.
The car doesn't have the black pack so I'm concerned black alloys wouldn't go well with black bodywork and chrome trim.
Thanks

The best wheel color is whatever matches your brake dust!

I looked for aluminum Takoba for years, I found some black Takoba in good conditions and I love them, but still believe the aluminum's would look better.

Colour choice is very personal. You do what you like best. To my eyes, the darker colours and white benefit from from the standard chrome highlights so I would keep the wheels silver as well. Black seems to go really well with reds, yellows, orange, etc. However, in general, I have a problem with dark wheels because from any distance they disappear and look like holes under the car. Not my thing.

Thanks all for your messages, and amazing photos. I must say the silver Nevis wheels (as standard) look amazing and contrast so well with the gloss black. Black on black makes the car look a bit "gangsta" in my opinion.
Jaguar made the world's most beautiful car, and you cant improve on perfection.

Also, I have black wheels on my XF which is Ammonite grey with the black pack (and I did a subtle tint on the windows). I really love the black wheels BUT.... curb rash! Suddenly there's this ugly scrap of silver. It looks horrible.

Sharpie (permanent marker) will hide that until you can get it repaired

FYI I have the Meridian System in my XF and the sound is unreal. Hate to say it but it blows the XKR Bowers and Wilkins out of the water.

I've gone through a stack of black xkr pics and have come to the conclusion that the wheels need to be the same colour as the window surround that is black on black looks fantastic only if your window trim is black otherwise aluminium is definitely the go ...just my 2 cents ))
