I'll post this here rather than send a PM because it's useful information for any other member who may be considering advertising an event.
I appreciate the post has been made with the best intentions but there are two problems:
1. it's an ANNOUNCEMENT
2. the thread will stay here FOREVER although it will be irrelevant in 5 days time
The appropriate place for this particular one is US Western Region forum as I doubt many outside California, let alone the rest of the World will be considering attending. Region forums are the place for posting about events.
Also, if members want an ANNOUNCEMENT to publicise relevant events, any of the moderators can create one which will appear at the top of the threads and self destruct after the end date.
I'll be there as well. I didn't think I would make it this year as my daughter was due with our first grandchild this weekend, but the little guy popped out a week early, so I'll make it after all. Hope to see a bunch of you guys there.

Bring him! Gotta start them young (came home from the hospital in a 63 SWC Corvette).
I will probably be there. But, I will be without the XKR as it is in a body shop, having been hit by a lying little old lady. Should be getting it back on 4/8 or 4/9. Needless to say the lying little old lady made me very angry.
I was there this AM saw Tberg and Jay Leno. Leno was in his full regalia jeans and jeans shirt driving an old custom 12 cylinder RR. Looked like an aircraft carrier when compared to a Sunbeam Alpine or Tiger.
Queen's English Car Show today, a hot 93*F and beautiful sunny, so Cal day. A lot of great cars were displayed at the park but only one lonely X150, mine! But lots of other older Jags, XKEs, XK 150s,etc. I got to meet several forum members besides meeting Ralphwg there. As Ralph previously mentioned, Jay Leno had an aircraft carrier sized custom Rolls Royce there. He was his usual, approachable, friendly, outgoing self. Once again one of my favorite cars at the show was a Singer that catches my attention every year, it's just beautiful. Here are some pictures...
I went. It was a great time-- but I parked on the street, and if I'd known Tberg's was gonna be the lone X150 represented there, I'd have registered! Next year. Anyway, I ended up leaving behind this MG, who wins Plate Of The Day!
Two last quick observations:
- A LOT of MG's there. I think that was the most heavily represented make, for sure.
- Surprisingly few black cars. (Surprising to me, anyway.)
Dang I kept thinking somehow it was this coming weekend (April 14) for which I will be busy doing other things anyway. Last weekend I was sitting around doing nothing and I regret not checking the date.
Oh well, maybe next year.
Hi Doug,
I was wondering where you were, I had expected to see you there. There were zero X100 'verts there, in fact, only one x100 XK8 coupe, period! There was also only one X150 there as well, my coupe. Mostly the Jags that showed were older generation XKEs, XK140s, XK150s etc. I wasn't sure I was going to make it as my first grandchild was due, but he came out a few days early so I was able to show. This weekend is Pantera Marque day at Supercar Sunday so I'll be showing up there that morning.
Thanks, Doug. It was a little nerve wracking as my daughter was induced early because the baby wasn't growing during the last three weeks. But, now that he's out, he's a very hungry young man and is gaining weight rapidly. All is well. grandpa and grandson
