I was driving a little while ago with the radio on and there was a beep and then the screen went tot he Jaguar logo. I can't turn it off, change the radio station, etc. Then when I turned the car off, the screen stayed on and the radio is still on. Anybody got an antitdote?

 

Is it still running??? The post was a little while ago. Have you tried alarming the car, which I believe shuts down the computer. I had an issue a few days ago where my iPhone stopped playing iTunes and my Phone Book wasn't accessible. Turned car off etc. and nothing worked. Finally left the car unatended for a period and when I came back everything worked. My hunch is that when the computer shut down (or goes into sleep mode), which takes a few minutes after you leave the car, it reset it. I didn't try alarming the car, but I think that instantly puts it into sleep mode...

Went out a little while ago. Started right up and the screen is working again. Question is, will it happen again? Gremlins...

 

I've had something like this. My screen went back to off(leaping cat) and nothing worked then it just came back on while going down road. Hasn't happened again.

 

Every once in a great while my screen stays on the Jag "leaper" image when I start up and I can't access radio/climate/etc. I've found that if I shut off the car, get out, lock up, and let it sit, when I come back and fire her up everything is back to normal. If that is the only "gremlin" I experience, I'm fine with it.

 

My wife just had this happen in her '13 XKR--turned off the car and the radio stayed on. After starting and stopping the car a few times the radio finally went off and stayed off.

 

I had that happen a couple of times with the Sat radio, but never with the regular radio, or iPod, etc.

 

dear lord...not had it happen yet...but awaiting my first Gremlin!!

 

To turn off the engine and all accessories, try pressing the stop button and holding it in for 4 or 5 seconds, exit the car and press the lock button on the door handle twice so the sounder beeps. Let us know if this works.
