Default Bluetooth not connecting frozen screen

My iPhone was paired with my 2007 Jaguar XK convertible. I killed the battery and after recharging, I can’t get my iPhone paired. When I follow the instructions and get to the part on the screen where it asks if I want to search for a new phone, I press YES and nothing happens. When I press YES, the dark green background turns a lighter green and reverts to the darker green when I remove my finger.
any suggestions or recommendations?

Can't help you with the dark screen but usually the first order of business is to delete all phones from the Jaguar, then start new vs trying to pair. Won't hurt anything to try since you can't pair anyway. Once the Jaguar is cleared of all phones, a lot of bugs go away.

Have you read the "Sticky" at the top of this Forum's first page? If not, it might help you resolve your problem.

I don’t know what “sticky“ means but when I click on the link you provided it brings me to a section where it talks about if my phone is compatible, my phone always worked, it has for five years now all the sudden it does not and I have not done any recent updates I mean I may have updated prior since my boyfriend connected his phone but I never disconnected mine that I should be running into this problem maybe because his phone is newer it tripped the system or something I don’t know but it’s the same problem with someone else is having where you hit the yes button to search and does not find anything

That link took you directly to the "Sticky" - a permanent thread of interest to many Forum members. Obviously, you didn't read enough. You should read the entire thread and learn about Bluetooth connectivity problems and how to solve them. Your boyfriend's phone might be the cause of your problem, but maybe not.

I don't blame your phone for having so much trouble, as I now suspect a cause. I started to read your post - one sentence with 118 words - and ran out of breath before I .

Delete all the bluetooth connected phones and start from scratch.
