Default Bluetooth ODB+ JLR SDD?

Hello,
I got a bluetooth ODB2 plug that I use with Car scanner and was wondering if JLR SDD would work with this plug or if I need to get another wired plug.

Thanks.

You require either a MONGOOSE cable for several hundred dollars or a DA Dongle for a couple hundred. There are Chinesium variants out there such as a mAngoose cable, but some have had cars bricked by using those. Some have also done perfectly well. Me, I bought a Jag Approved DA Dongle.

Drew Technologies stopped production of the Mongoose a couple of years ago so the only option would be to look for a genuine used one. The Chinese clones are perfectly satisfactory for code reading but I would not use one for programming. The best option is the DA (Diagnostic Associates) Dongle.

Where can this dongle be purchased? I checked DA's site and they don't list it as an available option. They only have the newer car donlge: "Jaguar Land Rover JLR- DoIP VCI"

The J2534 is the item you need.
Sucks that they more than doubled the price in the past five years or so, I paid like $160 back awhile.

At that price I'm pretty sure that OBD2 adapter is a Chinese clone not an actual Drew product.

Not necessarily - I have a clone adapter ($60 from china) - it works ok for reading the car. That said there have been comments that folks have bricked the car - not sure if they were trying to do programming. You could still buy the system and get one of these as Cee Jay posted a link to:

That's really a shame it's turning so complicated to just tick a box in a bios...
Can't any computer guy out there just make an ODB dongle for dummies that would just activate AUX input once a button on it would be pressed and launch a script?
The bricking hazard really frost me and now I'm not sure anyone could activate aux for me...
