Default Which bonnet? - RESOLVED

Hi, I’m repairing a 2014 XK (non supercharged) which needs a replacement bonnet. I can find two part numbers C2P11600 and C2P21997. Please could someone let me know the difference? Much appreciate any guidance. Thanks

The original P/N for the 4.2 NA bonnet has been superseded three times. C2P11600 was the first revision and C2P21997 is the current number. No suggestion this was anything more than a number change.

I wouldn't like to pay the bill for one.

Graham

According to Jaguar, the correct one for my car is the C2P21997 but I have found a C2P11600 and was wondering if it would work or whether it would result in other problems such as headlight shape differences etc. Thank you for taking the trouble to reply, Stephen

The latest’s the 997 as Graham said, any previous part numbers would no longer be available from Jaguar. There’s no difference in the years other than no vent vs “R” version vents or GT/final 50 vents.

So the headlight shape change for 2012 forward didn’t affect the bonnet?
If it did, the OP, saying he has a 2014, shouldn’t use a bonnet intended for a 4.2L (or the first 2 years of the 5.0), correct?

Think we've been through this a few times and I was surprised , the bonnet/hood shape is the same for the entire x150 line.

Correct. The facelift head lights only require updated wings and bumper cover.
