Default Brembo vs OEM brake pads.

Good afternoon gentlemen. I have taken up the project of massively upgrading my brakes to Alcon brake package. I bought both OEM pads and Brembo pads for the massive 400 & 350 mm rotors. Does anyone have experience with using Brembo pads?? I=Thank you

No experience of this application but Brembo pads are usually fine. Do you have the Brembo PRIME LINE P36024 and P36024 sets for the Jaguar C2P15991 and C2P15994 items?

From what I could see on internet pictures, the Jaguar branded ones seem to be made in the UK and have an edge code FER FF, which might suggest Ferodo as the supplier. The latest Brembos (and aftermarket Ferodos) might be GF rated, so I would expect a little more cold bite. What is written on the pads you actually have? Will be interesting to hear what you find when you are done.

My only complaint with Brembo pads is the massive amount of brake dust. That's why I first went to ceramic pads but now I run CF pads instead.

Well, something has to give…
Stopping power?
Wear of pad?
Wear of disk?

Another great debate continues…

I just got my XKR back from my independent ASE-Certified technician who installed replacement Centric Alcon rotors and Brembo ceramic pads. I'm still bedding in the new pads, and don't have enough miles on them to say much. So far, they're quiet and the pedal feels the same as the original rotors and pads. But the Brembo ceramic pads leave light grey dust, which is much less noticeable than the black dust from the OEM pads. Hats are painted matte light grey.

Good to hear Stuart! I did not know Brembo had a ceramic option.
When I changed mine to ceramic I felt the initial bite was less aggressive compared to stock Brembo pads. Perfectly fine just a bit different. Plus I found that light colored brake dust came off much easier than the factory black dust from the Brembo's.
