Default Can AC be done anywhere, 2012 XKR

So just want to be overly sure but if I need the AC system recharged, etc can I take it to any good AC place, nothing crazy or special needed?

I recharged mine DIY with a kit from Autozone. Recharge is anything but difficult, however; if it needs service greater than that, DIY would be out of the question.

Nothing magical about the Jaguar A/C, but if you need a recharge, you have a leak. The system is sealed. So that said, it can get pricey because it's a Jaguar.

Modern clutchless A/C systems are sealed but they do slowly leak overtime
and need a recharge after about 8 years or so. I would go to a shop
and have it vacuumed out tested and recharged with gas and oil.
its about $150-200

Have the A/C shop check the pressures first. Hopefully it will just be low on Freon and show low pressure on the low side. If you have high pressure on the low side and low pressure on the high side it will be the DPS valve. Quite a common failure point on these cars.

Do you happen to know what the cost is for replacing a DPS valve
and recharging?
