Anybody use these instead of iron brake discs?

I used the Akebono disks on my VDP and loved them. Very low dust and satisfactory braking. Initial bite is not as good, but fine after that. Waiting for them to come out wih XK pads.

Does anyone know what other cars have the same calipers as the '07 XK?

Did not know they existed for XK or is it XKR? Of course Iron is so cheap and does a good job.
If you want to save weight it's much easier to drive alone!

Not necessary for street driving. Only useful for the track. They also squeak. I would put your money elsewhere unless you got a fantastic price. The squeak at every stop would really bother me.

High end car makers are putting these on more now. Although they are expensive in some regards. I have not heard about the noise issue. There are a couple different ways they manufacture the discs...

Brembo claims that under normal driving conditions the discs will last practically for the life of the car, will not warp. They also claim a significant increase in stopping "ability". As mentioned earlier they are lighter.

Lambos get them, Aston's, Corvette's, and Porsche offers them as an option...and others. I have not seen an application for Jaguar.

If they are noisy that would not be good. I guess Lambo owners live with the noise? I would no pay that much money for noisy brakes. I'll have to do some more research on that...
