Default Cell phone , smart phone again

I am considering coming out of the stone age and turning in my Samsung flip phone for a smart phone. I wouldn't do it but my phone is starting to give me problems. So with that I am wrestling between 2 choices. What I am asking is if there is any issues with pairing them in my 2012 XKR. I am only concerned with making sure it functions all work namely hands free through the car and all of my contacts being loaded (less then 100).

The 2 selections are : Samsung 5S or iphone 6

Thanks for the feedback.

I know my Samsung Galaxy S5's contacts do NOT load properly into my '07 XKR. YMMV.

Can't you still buy flip phones? I still have one (for work)!

iPhone 6, Verizon, iOS 8.1, 2012 XKR-S. All phone functions work fine.

My Samsung Galaxy S5 pairs easily with my 07 XK, but the Contacts are garbled and unusable. The phone works fine otherwise, including monitoring engine functions with Torque Pro.

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.1, works fine with my 2010 XKR. For music, I connect it via a Lightning-to-32-pin adapter, but Bluetooth is used for the phone connection - hands-free, last 10 calls made/received, all OK. My contact list is massive (loads of work crap), so it doesn't all sync.

Everyone seems to be upgrading their mobiles. My Samsung Note 4 pairs instantly but I haven't checked the contacts yet. Although, I can check if you want me too. I have it stored for the winter.

I traded my Iphone 4s for a Galaxy S4 about a year ago. Why? I had three 4s's in a row get corrupted for some reason. I have had no trouble with the Galaxy S4 which I have been using with my 2012 XK vert for about a year. It picks up all of the contact information perfectly and I have about 360 individual contacts in the phone.

I have a Nokia Windows phone and it pairs perfectly with my 2008 XKR. Contacts show up properly, too. Sadly, I cannot do voice commands to the phone via the Bluetooth like I can with a $20 headset. YMMV.

Galaxy S4 and my new Note 4 pairs easily with all contacts downloaded. Only the early XKs had issues with pairing with Galaxy phones.
