Default Center Console Keeps Turning On and Off

I have a 2007 XK Base Convertible that I would love to hang on to as long as I can, but this problem is really making think about getting rid of it.
When I turn the car on, the center console flashes the Jaguar logo then turns off, after a second or two, the log re-appears then turns off again. This cycle keeps repeating for anywhere from a few minutes to 20 or 30 minutes before the center console finally booths correctly and I can access stereo/nav/heating controls. The cycle repeats itself if I turn the car off, even for a second.
It tried to get my mechanic to fix it, but he says he is not really an electronics guy and all of the local car electronics shop won't even bother trying to fix it. My mechanic says it sees a fault for the bluetooth module but when the center console boots up, the bluetooth works flawlessly.
I have no idea what to do next. I've read some threads here with similar problems, but it seems like no one really know for sure what is causing this.
It is becoming so annoying that I am seriously thinking about getting rid of the car altogether. Would love some advice on what I should do next.

First thing is to check your battery health.
When my battery was getting old, and there was a draw on it, my display would shut down and restart a few minutes later. In your case, the screen may be stabilizing after your car has been running and the alternator charging the battery.

Battery first, newer and fully charged and load tested, ground points second and there's a possibility of the Bluetooth module being faulty, it's happened to others here. You would need to by pass the module and see if that sorts the problem.

How do I by-pass the module?

Just in case a forum member is viewing this (older) post as from today (09/04/24), the loop advertised here does not fit our Jaguars! Don't bother to ask me how I know!

But, HOW do you know? Do you have an X150? Only an XJ8 is on your profile. Many people in here have used that bypass loop successfully.

Dear Mr Shirty, my apologies, I wrongly assumed that Jaguar would have used the same connector for both models. The connector pre-dates the type currently used. It certainly does not fit an X350 and the reason I know this is that I OBVIOUSLY bought one?
I was simply trying to be helpful?

you can simply unplug the power on the bluetooth module as well.

Having owned both an X350 and a X150, I can confidently state the electronics are NOT the same. Remember that the models were updated separately, and the X350 received its facelift (including electronics) for MY 2006. Your 2005 XJ8 has electronics more akin to the X100.
