Centre brake light?

Is this just a reflector or should it light up?
its 2013 ZA market

It should definitely light up. You might have a connection loose?

Mine stopped working years ago, I found a blown diode on the circuit board on the filter, inline with the power wires. There is a post in here somewhere. CHMSL is what it's called, Center High Mount Stop Lamp
