Default Chains/tensioners on 2002 XKR

Hello People,
I did a fair amount of research before buying my used 2002 XKR. It is the 4.2 litre version and I have read that by the time this engine was being produced the tensioner problems had been resolved and the engine was pretty 'bomb-proof' as one review suggested.

Am I right to be confident or should I get the tensioners checked out? No apparent problems so far other than a failed ignition pack which was replaced. Engine sounds sweet at the moment.

Thanks for any advice,

All 4.2's have the new tensioners.

Relax.

Welcome to the Forum....these guys know everything and can keep you out of trouble or help you fix it if you can't avoid it.

cheers,

jj
