Default Cheap OBD2 diagnostic cable?

So, given the name brands are usually $200 and up, occasionally when used $100…

What are the odds this will work for an SDD v130 setup?

Some have reported that using a cheaper version of the Mongoose cable (called 'mangoose') has bricked their car. Some have those cables that work perfectly fine. How adventurous are YOU?
Me, I got the other thing from Diagnostic Associates, their DA-Dongle. Part # I do believe is J2534. No idea what the price is now, but I paid like $68 many years ago. It was less than half of an official Mongoose cable at the time. It's worked flawlessly for dozens of interactions.

Default Mongoose Pro version

Make sure you get the Pro version and not the version without "Pro" in the driver name. My China clone works perfect both on 32 and 64 bits Windows, but so does VXDIAG SE too. SDD V167/350

I’d guess they’ve come a long way in 5 years.
Now, if ‘crap’ bricks the car, yeah not going to risk it.
Especially since it will be the first time.
I’ve seen a few out there used for a couple hundred bucks. I’ll do some more research.

Thanks JagFan. Didn’t know there were different ones.
Ill look for Pro.

Default Original Mongoose drivers

Here is a link to the original drivers. Make sure they work on the clone you purchase.
