Default Check Engine Light

Probably asked a million times but - I have a 2021 XKR Convertable with about 60k miles. Properly maintained. Check engine light is on and despite replacing gas filler cap with a new one, it will not go away. Any thoughts?

Good one! Also I hadn't realised the X150 returned in 2021...

Yeah, I saw that too, I just figured it was dyslexic typo.
Good think the XK-E returns in 2025 though! I sure will be eyeing one of those......

Of the many reasons for the CEL to display, why would you conclude the cause being the fuel filler cap?

The guessing game soon gets very expensive throwing parts at a Jaguar. Reading the codes should always be the first step in troubleshooting a CEL.

Guessing you meant 2011... anyway, mine was on last week and wouldn't go away. Had dealer check code and it's the water pump. Going in next week to replace

A code that says "Water Pump"? I've never heard of that one.

Perhaps he meant the supercharger coolant pump, that one can generate a MIL

I think maybe this entire thread is moot since the OP has not returned, neither to inform nor further a query.
