Default Check Engine and Sport Cats

Hi, All.

I have sport cats on my car and they have been throwing a check engine light. Anyone know what I need to do to bypass that?

Let me know,
Joey

It's helpful if you were to provide some vehicle details such as MY, kilometres/miles and the DTCs stored in the system.

Perhaps fitting the correct catalysts?

Post the DTCs here when you have them. Most likely P0420 or P0430.

Ok, so I have two Error codes:

P0159: Heated exhaust gas oxygen sensor - circuit slow response (bank 2 sensor 2).
P0442: Evaporative emissions system leak detected (small leak).

Let me know what you guys think? My mechanic said for the first one, he would just replace the sensor, for the second one, it could be the gas cap.

Thoughts?

Have the person working on the car check for exhaust leaks before throwing parts at the P0159 DTC.
