Code 2601
I replaced the pump on the supercharger with an OEM, but now the code has reappeared. Indy has no diagnostic tool to communicate with the pump to check that the pump is working. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Car check engine light will sometimes come on when car is driven hard on hi-way

The problem is on the X150. The pump runs, but he doesn't have a way to see if it speeds up as engine rpm increases. I assume that the pump flows at more than one flow rate. Thanks

IC pump runs at a fixed speed. It's either on or off. You do bring up a good point that people should be aware of. The later cars went to a 3 wire IC pump that is PWM driven so those DO run at variable speeds. If you have an earlier car it will have a 2 wire pump.
Have you looked at the plug to see what you have? With a 2008 it should have the 2 wire plug. I am not sure when Jaguar went to the 3 wire IC pumps but it looks to be around 2016-2017 depending on the model. I have a 2014 XJR and it has a 2 wire pump.
When this pump fails it should throw the car into heat soak much much easier but again that will depend on your driving style. If you just cruise around it probably won't be noticeable. But if your flooring the car in hot weather you will run into heat soak as your car is doing.
Usually you get a restricted performance light instead of the check engine light?
The easiest thing to do is to feel the pump and turn the key off and on. If you put you head by the front passenger side of the car that's where the pump is located so you "might" be able to hear it run when switching the key off and on without the engine running. I have not tried this but it's simple and you have nothing to loose.
The 2 wire and 3 wire pumps do not interchange. So you need to get the right one.
