Default commonality

I have a 2007 xk convertible. Is there a commonality between the passenger side window, passenger outside mirror dip in reverse and the power door lock?
From time to time, the passenger window is operable only from the switch on that side of the car, only from the drivers side, or not at all. When this occurs, the auto door lock ceases to function, as does the side mirror dip when in reverse.
Resetting either window does nothing, thought manual operation of the passenger door lock sometimes restores all the functions. Other times, all functions return on their own. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Nearly every electrical gremlin is caused by a Low Voltage condition. Check your battery's voltage, it should be close to 13 before start, and maybe a bit above that while running.
Also, try putting your battery on a 10-20 amp charger for 24 hours and check voltage again.
It may be time for a new battery.

Thanks for the input. Battery is 2months old. Consistent voltage pre start near 13 volts. The new battery cured other issues, but these are new symptoms that come and go.

Battery condition was also my first thought but you have eliminated this.

Your description of the inconsistency of the fault reduces the likelihood of a failing switch (driver/passenger door pack or door latch microswitch) or a harness break.

I haven't experienced this issue on an XK but am familiar with the same symptoms on the earlier XK8/XKR. Looking at the XK schematics, the control mechanism for mirror auto dip and window drop similarly involves both the Seat Control Modules and the Door Modules. The BPM (Body Processor Module) will also have a part to play.

I hope your issue isn't indicative of programmable modules starting to have track breaks as has happened on earlier models as they age.

I'm going with door module failure or comm problem with that door module.

Check the service manual for how the chassis talks to the door modules.

Now I understand why we men use the feminine pronoun when referring to the cars we love. With all the interactive computer modules, they never stop talking to each other!

Thanks for the input. I am researching how to source and replace the module. Much appreciated.

Troubleshoot it before shotgunning parts at it. Gonna get expensive after missing the target a couple times.

+1 ^^^^^^^

Are you getting error codes? That would be the first and most logical step in gaining a starting point to troubleshoot.
