Thermostats on these cars usually stick partially open, not closed, but anything is possible. Probably need to take off the under tray to see where the leak is (if you can’t find anything up top). For a passenger side leak, I’d be suspicious of the expansion tank, notorious for leaking due to a cracked lower nipple.
More importantly, why did the car shutdown? Did it overheat? Any other display messages? Any codes posted?

Default Coolant leak

Yes,it through several codes, the leak seems to be near the front of passenger side, or at least where it drips, it seems that the top hose has alot of pressure

I labeled it "Antifreeze leak" on August 3, 2023.

Tow the car out of the environment.

I doubt this is the source of your leak but it is a hidden fault. I replaced it with a 3/8" copper plumber's pipe and two adjustable stainless clamps.
Remove the manifold cover and see if there is any coolant lying around there.

From another reading here, I realized there are other connectors on the coolant system, that crumble apart. Lets try to locate each one. One was said to go behind the block to the drivers side.

Reading this I just remembered when a coolant leak on my xj 4.2 caused a bunch of codes. A flood in the valley killed the knock sensors.

There really should be a sticky thread... Owners of XKs (2007-2015) should be aware that sooner or later ( usually sooner) ALL plastic coolant line/pipes/hoses must be replaced as a maintenance item.. Lack of maintenance can lead to catastrophic engine failure.

The intake hose melted on my 2007.It's different on the last gen model I have and I think they been replaced with better material so that no longer happens or else I would have experienced it again by now since the last gen XKR have more miles than the 2007 XKR I had
