Default Correct Tyre Pressures 20" tyres on xkr

Does everyone follow the tyre pressures as manual for their 20" tyres on their XKR.
I have been trying different pressures to get a nice ballance.
What does anyone find best for factory size of,
Front 255/35/20
Rear 285/30/20
Dunlop Sport

On my XKR: Front: 2.3 Back 2.5
Nice neat wear of profile and good handling at high speed or hairpin roads.

2009 Jaguar XKR w/ 20" tires

Front set at 32 PSI
Rear set at 34 PSI

This is 2 PSI over the recommended F & R.

I've got Michelin pss at 31f/33r but I still get mostly center wear, don't know if its the tire or if I should drop pressure. She slides all over the place

Just a suggestion, but if you're getting mostly center-wear and poor traction from great tires, it sounds like over-inflation.
I.e. a "v"-shaped profile, instead of "|_|".
Apologies for the graphics!

I would just follow the guidelines in the manual.
Too much, results in center wear. Too little, the outer edges start wearing out.

Somewhat agreed. For Michelin Super Sports I have found 29f/31r the best for my kind of spirited driving;-)

My manual and door jam give different recommended pressures for 19s. I believe I have 33/fronts and 36/rears.

My manual says 33F/36R for MY2010+ cars, other than Speed Pack models which are 36/36.

However, the door label on the 75 says 36F/33R, possibly because I have the 10.5" rear rims with 295/30 tyres. Might be the same for the R-S, too.

Door sticker tire pressures are the manufacturer's recomendations for the original equipment tires. Those pressures are merely the starting point for the owner, and can vary depending on the circumstances including, but not limited to, climate and road conditions. A pressure that works well for one brand/size/type might be off for a different brand, etc. Start with the manufacturer's recommendation and then try +/- 2 or 3 lbs or more. Pressures should be raised for sustained high-speed driving.

Examine your tread wear pattern monthly for signs of under/over inflation. Under inflation causes excessive wear on the outside edges; over inflation causes excessive wear in the center. Abnormal wear is more quickly apparent with 20" staggered wheels with directional tires since they can't be rotated and the fronts will wear faster. You should expect to get 1/2 the manufacturer's rated mileage (or less) out of a set of staggered directional tires since they can't be rotated.

Don't rely on your TPMS to keep the correct pressure in each of your tires. Get a good digital tire pressure gauge and check them monthly, including the spare if you have one.

My manual suggests to look at the door jam for proper pressures but on another page in the manual it lists 30/front 33/rear for 19s. Door jam reads 33/front 36/rear. I prefer if anything to be 3 lbs over inflated than under inflated and am going with the door jam or 33/f 36/r

I had Michelin PSS at 31-33. Tire wear was perfectly even after 13,000 when they needed replacement. Rears were at 2/32, Fronts were at 3/32.
