XK had some slow cranking starts for the past few months so I've been carrying around one of those super capacitor jump starters just in case. With the colder weather coming, I figured I should replace the battery before I get stuck.
Duralast Gold from autozone. Got 7 3/4 years out of it! Thats a record for me. I usually get around 5 years on cars, 3-4 on the motorcycles...
When the car was not going to be driven for over a week, the Ctek was put on it. I have to say, I'm pleased.
My cat is in a communal garage so no way to run a battery maintainer. Also don’t want to remove the battery in there either! Can anyone recommend a good safe (for our cars) portable jump starter pack?

I have a NOCO Boost Plus GB40, see here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/33567991381...3ABFBM5KCvyMBl
Works great, used it twice on nephews' cars but never on any of my Jags although it should work perfectly OK on them.
That one (1000A) is at the lower end of the NOCO jump starter range and you can pay more for a more powerful device if you so desire.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I just found a ctek pigtail in the trunk. Is there a mobile jump starter unit that I can just plug into it to start it if it has a dead battery?
Don’t think you can get enough juice through that small diameter cable to effectively jump start a car. It’s fine for low current battery maintenance, but not for a high current starter.

that makes sense, thanks. So is there such a thing as a mobile power source that could power a Ctek hooked up to the pigtail overnight?
No 110 where I store my car. Before I shut off the car, make sure radio is turned off, AC off, infotainment completely blank (no Jag logo), doors locked. Battery is 3 years old, charges to 12.9 (not 13.2). Battery after 2 weeks is 12.4 which apparently is a little low. Car starts instantly. No electrical gremlins. Is there something I can use to trickle charge the battery and keep voltage a little higher?
