Hi all, I am looking to reupholster the seats in my 07 xkr coupe. The car looks stunning but the interior is a little plain, black on black on more black. The seats have the fluted bolsters and while the leather is in excellent condition, it is a bit hard and shiny and can be very warm and sweaty on long journeys. I am thinking of new leather with a two tone colour, black on the sides and bolsters with a different colour on the center sections of the seats. I was also going to get the seams with a contrast stitching and also the leather sections of the door cards in the same colour as the center of the seats. I have seen one photo in the forum with black and tan leather seats and it looks pretty nice. Met with company who can do this for me but i can not decide on the colour combo. Anybody ever do this or any ideas on cool colour combos. Price quoted €1500 for complete job.
I've been looking on ebay for the last 6 weeks for updated seats ie xkr-s seats however they seem to be extremely rare I might also get myself a quote for a re-trim
I would do leather with alcantara or Sunbrella fabric center/contrast. Beautiful patterns and super durable sofa fabric. Step out of your comfort zone.
Go with a tartan, paisley... two fabrics with leather to coordinate... This is your chance!
I had considered alcantara but i think all leather is more in keeping with the style of the xkr. The london tan in the photo is a nice classic combo and would suit the car nicely.

Tan Harris Tweed inserts would be awesome and comfortable.
Stuart, that alligator skin is something else, maybe not my taste but beautifully done.
Yours looks very classy, contrasting ivory and black always looks well.
