Cool Dash sunscreen

Hi,
Would like to use a temporary dash cover use against the sun. ANY ideas,
please (material, source)?
Prefer on the dash not on the windshield. Don't mind making it myself too; as a last resort. A roll up one would be nice................

Thanks, not rain but now sun in Seattle!

Just posted a link to a thread on the XF/XFR forum that was discussing sunshades. Maybe you can find the info you are looking for.

I have a window sun screen for the XK that works great. It folds and does not bend like the cheap ones. It was around $60

I think Covercraft is the brand I have (without Jaguar logo).

Folding silver Sunshield arrived in 3 days from Gaudin; good fit with two 'leaper Jaguar XF' logos and and a pouch! all for $45 and genuine Jag part no less (probably Covercraft? ).
I am very pleased with it and will use it at Seattle Jag Club Show and Shine and JCNA Judges Training event at Jaguar of Tacoma this Saturday.
I suppose wife will want one now for her XK8!

Cheers, Adrian (no rain please, want to use my Sunscreen!)

I also recommend using T-303 Aerospace Protectant ... it is designed for use on boats and is safe on leather/vinyl/plastic. It is SPF for your interior. I buy mine at Emmons Coachworks.

+2 on Aerospace 303, I just wont use it on my leather dash.

Also, I use the two folding wire disks as a sunscreen... I have used the folding cardboard (for lack of a better description) in the past, and found having to store it "somewhere" in the cabin always proved annoying. The disks come down and go up quickly, and with a twist of the wrist I have them dinner plate sized and neatly tucked between the seat and center console, completely out of site and mind.
Simple yet effective for my needs....

Vince

Because its primary use is for vinyl and platics. As my dash is leather, I prefer "Leather Master" products for it and seats.

If you want to just cover the dash, go to a fabric store, buy a few yards of similar color poly fabric and cut slightly bigger than the size of the dash.
