Daylight Running Lights Wiring
Can anyone tell me where an ignition wire is & what color under the bonnet of my 2010 Jaguar XK ...please. I want to tap into it so I can add LED daylight running lights. If I did tap into it, would this interfer with any amperage load on the electrical system & drive it bonkers?

Perhaps you haven't driven the right ones. I bought my wife a 6 year old S4 a few months ago and it is a brilliant car. Pulls like a train from standstill and comes loaded with toys some of which have only just made it in to the Jaguar range e.g. tourque vectoring.
The air-con settings are matched to the key fobs so I can have it set to what I like and my wife can have furnace mode. It also has individual settings for power steering, sports mode, diff control and suspension so when I get in the car I flip it to custom mode and it uses my pre saved preferences to set the car how I like it.

I am in the same boat - fitted OSRAM LEDriving DRLs to my XK just today but am stumped with finding a permanent + and IGN + under the bonnet. When I did the same job on my 1997 XK8, it was a mite easier.
I have the wiring diagrams, and the "Connector Quick Reference" docs but it looks like there are no easily available points for connection under the bonnet - unless I go to the fuse box, but the loom is so tight there, it'll pretty much need to be dismantled. I don't want to disturb those connectors if at all possible...

I answered my own question about adding DRL's to my '10 XK coupe. I emailed a Canadian Jag dealer because DRL's are required there.. After receiving my vin number, they said my '10 XK's computer can be reprogrammed to allow the DRL's to operate, but a dealer with the correct code/program would be needed to do this. So it's not a DIY process. Then I went back to my local dealer, after they 1st saying it's not possible, and ... yes they can do the job. The computer has to be "tricked" into "believing" it's a Jag produced for Canada. Takes about an hour to do. So, I don't know what other model years that the computer can be programmed to allow the DRL's to operate, but at least the '10 Jag XK can. Good luck.!!!

"X150" is the Jaguar factory production designation for all alloy-bodied XK/XKR coupe and convertible model years from 2007 - 2015 (North America; other markets began in 2006). Your 2010 XK is an X150.
