Default Diagnostics set + software

HI,

I saw this one on ebay.. Jaguar Land Rover JLR IDS SDD Diagnostics OBD2 Software and Cable Kit 1999-2012 | eBay

I was wondering if anyone here had used this before.. or are we all running to the garage when needed?

What would the advantage of this be? (apart from enabling Aux input on the audio only once)..

Quite a few threads already. Mongoose JLR.

That one's quite expensive...

keep in mind that the software itself may require activation, which is a healthy fee from Jaguar Corp.
I purchased similar online but cannot unlock it for lack of a Jaguar account.

The knockoff versions from China often include a hack to disable the phone home functionality in the software.

I have v134 with a Chinese Mongoose cable working without an account (although I use it with an older car which might come into play).
