Default Did you replace your nuts

Looking at the lug nuts I see they are the 2 piece types where there is a chrome cover over the actual nut. Has anyone replaced them with solid type aftermarket lug nuts. If so what style did you use. Just curious.

Mine were replaced with black lug nuts when I had the wheels installed, but I'm not sure of the brand.

There is a OEM lug nut and an aftermarket lug nut. The type lug nut will be determinded by the type of wheel you have installed. OEM wheels of course accept OEM lug nuts, but you should be able to find aftermarket lugs that will fit the OEM wheel. These aftermarket lugs should be available in different colors, such as chrome, black, red, blue etc.

In my case when I removed the OEM Jag Selena wheel and replaced them with the Braelin BR02 aftermarkets wheels, I had to eliminate the OEM lug, and go with a "spline" lug nut that uses a spline drive socket to install. I choose the chrome spline lug nuts. The name "spline" lug nut is associated with the "tuner" type style wheel and can be bought at "tuner" lug nuts.

I also use a high quality wheel lock lug nut. One per wheel.

McGard is a big respected brand name and sold online.

I see said the blind man.

You must be referring to your Gorilla lug wrench.

Did on the XJR. Going to on the XKR. I believe they are the same size as the lexus lug nuts. Nothing quite as maddening as trying to take off a wheel and the cap comes off of the lug nut!
